Music to Shift Your Consciousness

Why does music affect us so deeply? According to Bruce Lipton, author of "The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles," it's because we don't just listen with our ears -- we listen with every cell in our bodies.

Jim and Jennifer formed Mystic Measures Band in 2009 to perform and record transformational music. Playing as a duo or with other musicians, they create music using native flutes and drums combined with the synthesizer to create soundscapes that can shift your reality. The music is perfect for relaxing, creating a pleasing environment, or supporting personal transformation through visioning or spiritual practices.

Below is a video of Horizon, recorded live at the "Earth" Concert held in Santa Fe, September 2012:

Jim Kinney Flute and Drumming

Prior to the formation of Mystic Measures, Jim recorded three CD's featuring native american flute music. Click here to listen to and download tracks. In addition, he leads native flute circles to expand the appreciation of this traditional art form.

Jim plays djembe, cajon, congas and other percussive instruments extensively in Santa Fe, and leads the Living Spirit Drummers, a performance group featuring the African djembe and dun dun drums. At the Santa Fe Harmony Center, Jim and Jennifer offer two djembe drum circle classes weekly, teaching original four part rhythms. For more information on drumming opportunities, click here.
